LED Signage Displays

LED signage supports changeable promotional content, brand messages and product highlights in commercial environments. Where artwork is updated frequently, a digital display may be worth comparing with printed panels or fixed lightboxes; suitability depends on visibility, operating needs and the installation.

Where signage sits in the range

Signage configurations run from 2.5 mm to 10 mm and are built for either environment. Indoor units sit at the brighter end of the indoor band; exposed units carry the IP rating defined by IEC 60529 that the position needs.

The decision that matters is whether the screen is the message or the frame around it. A screen carrying changeable promotional copy is a different specification from one carrying static brand identity, mostly in how the content is managed day to day.

Size and legibility

Legibility is set by the smallest text the sign has to carry and how far it is read from. Fix the reading distance first, derive the pitch from it, then check the physical size of the lettering on the finished canvas. A sign that reads well at 20 m and fails at 5 m is a sign specified for the wrong viewer.

High-contrast layouts and large type survive in daylight and in passing traffic. Fine detail does not, whatever the pitch.

Day-to-day operation

Ask who updates the content, how often, and from where. Scheduling, brightness behaviour across the day and remote management are confirmed per project, so list what you need; do not assume it comes with the screen.

Send the mounting position, the reading distance, whether the position is exposed to weather, and how the content will be changed. Those four answers settle the configuration.

Project planning

Compare the format against the job

Start with content type, update frequency, viewing distance and available space. If you are considering replacing a fixed lightbox or printed panel, share its dimensions, current location and update frequency so the digital option can be evaluated against actual requirements.
