Modular & Creative LED Displays

Creative LED display concepts explore how digital visuals can become part of an architectural or branded environment. Depending on the project, this may involve modular arrangements, geometric forms, rings, columns, cubes or other non-standard layouts.

Specifications

Typical specification ranges.

Creative formats are assembled from the standard module platform. That is what makes unusual geometry buildable and still serviceable.

ParameterRange
Pixel pitch2 – 5 mm
Brightness600 – 1,000 cd/m²
Power draw350 – 400 W/m² average, 800 W/m² peak
Formats builtDJ booth, cylinder, LED television, advertising machine

Figures describe the module and cabinet platform. Final values are confirmed during engineering review.

Potential applications

Where this format may fit.

  • Retail feature displays and window installations
  • Exhibition stands and experiential spaces
  • Showrooms, lobbies and branded interiors
  • Custom visual concepts based on a reference or sketch
Specification checklist

What to consider.

  • Whether the intended geometry is technically practical
  • Pixel pitch, viewing angle and content appearance
  • Module dimensions, structure and alignment
  • Power, cabling, control and maintenance access

Standard formats we build

Some briefs repeat often enough to be worth building as finished formats instead of one-off structures. These are the ones in the current supply, with their stated figures:

FormatPixel pitchStated outputPowerFinished size
DJ booth format5.0 mm800 cd/m²350 / 800 W/m²1,820 x 820 x 1,050 mm
Cylindrical flexible screen5.0 mm800 cd/m²350 / 800 W/m²732 x 1,535 mm
LED television format2.0 mm1,000 cd/m²400 / 800 W/m²1,536 x 1,152 mm
Poster-format kiosk2.5 mm1,000 cd/m²400 / 800 W/m²510 x 1,950 mm

Everything outside this list is still buildable. It is engineered as a custom structure instead, which changes the drawing work, the lead time and the sparesholding.

What makes a creative format buildable

Three questions decide it. What holds the shape: a curved or cylindrical surface needs a substructure that carries the modules at the right radius and keeps them there. How a failed module is reached: a screen wrapped around a column has no rear, so the service path is part of the design. And what the shape does to the content: a cylinder or an arch distorts anything produced on a flat canvas.

Bend radius is the usual constraint on flexible modules. Tighter curves need smaller modules and more of them, which raises both cost and the number of seams to align.

Content is half the engineering

On a shaped or multi-plane surface the pixel canvas is not the shape a designer sees. Mapping has to be agreed before production starts, and a visual proof on the actual layout is worth asking for, not a flat mock-up.

Send the shape, the dimensions, where viewers stand and how the surface can be reached for service. Those four answers decide whether a concept is a drawing exercise or a product.

Project planning

Develop the concept with practical limits in mind

The shape is only one part of a successful project. Module compatibility, visible seams, content mapping, structural support and service access should be considered early. A reference image is a useful starting point, but final feasibility depends on the design and requirements.

Frequently asked questions

What are modular and creative LED displays?

LED configurations built from modules to form curved, geometric or custom-shaped surfaces that become part of an architectural or branded environment.

What constraints matter most for creative LED shapes?

Module size, structure and weight, cable routes, service access, and how the content maps to the finished shape.

Can an existing space be retrofitted with a creative LED format?

Feasibility depends on structure, weight allowance and service access. This is reviewed as part of a project brief.
